just updated my ryzen master and my cpu's idle temp went from 40-50 to 50-70. it fluctuates really drastically imo. one second its 52 then jumps to 65 for example. so im really concerned.

ive built my computer 2 years ago and i was planning to do complete clean up of the case last summer but you know covid hit and i dont have the right tools to clean the case so i canceled that until i can no longer postpone to find someone for it. so i know my idle temp was not ideal before but it was better than now.

cpu= amd ryzen 7 2700x
motherboard= gigabyte ga-ax370 gaming

if you guys need any other info let me know.

No, its not a program, it just updates drivers. its changes happen behind scenes.

What bios you need to install depends on what one you have now. Its not that hard to do but if you have other jobs for someone else to do, you might as well get them to install bios updates for you.

your manual doesn't show how to update BIOS which is always fun. This does - https://www.gigabyte.com/FileUpload/Global/MicroSite/121/flashbios_qflash.pdf

chipset drivers generally match bios versions, so it may not help, as its possible the drivers installed by ryzen master assume you on latest bios

what power plan are you running in windows?

changing ryzen master shouldn't make it hotter at idle, unless it changed power plan as well and is running you faster.
power plan is on balanced. it was on high performance before but i changed it after seeing 60c on idle

what bios version you on? https://www.gigabyte.com/au/Motherboard/GA-AX370-Gaming-rev-1x/support#support-dl-bios
latest chipset drivers? https://www.amd.com/en/support/chipsets/amd-socket-am4/x370

those 2 would be only thing that might help if changes were made in software.

what equipment you talking about not having to clean PC? all you need is compressed air or maybe some paint brushes to clean dust from fans. I use brushes as mum doesn't like smell of compressed air and I would have to take PC outside to use it. Only do that if I have to.

or take filters out and use a vacuum cleaner to clean them. Last 8 months its all I do to keep mine clean.

Or you talking about replacing thermal paste?

40 - 50c is what I see all day on a 3600xt at idle.

my bios needs a major update. i think it has 4 updates and i dont think i can do it myself so another reason to see a pc technician. also i didnt know anything about a chipset driver so im installing it right now.

by cleaning i mean all the dusting and thermal paste change and case fan change. compressed air cans are really expensive where i live so it would be cheaper for me to pay someone to clean it. and i couldn't install the stock cooler of cpu while i was building the pc so i need help with changing the thermal paste too.

i will let you know if anything changes with chipset driver.
