is it possible to install an aftermarket VGA cooler on the Sapphire R9 290X Tri-X OC graphics card?

Which VGA cooler would be best to really OC this card?

And how would I go about installing it?

Solution
Why to you want to install another cooler in a Tri-X OC version of 290x. The Tri-X is a good enough cooler and it itself is after market aka non reference third party cooler.

However, to answer your question it is possible to change cooler but you need some technical expertise to do so and will certainly void your warranty. Solution
A third party cooler... for a card... with... an already installed... after market cooler... and also already one of the best...

Answer is... leave it this way.

The 290x don't OC much without serious problems like glitch, black frame skipping and stuttering. 1050MHZ is probably the best freq you are going to get for stable and problems free OC.
