Again... Gta4 slow working

i have seen many complains about gta4 optimization, but seriously, i'm runinning Quad core, HD4580 1gb + 4gb ram, but game is still so laggy

Try turning shadows completely off that's what helped me.

I went from bad stuttering 12fps to no stuttering 50+fps.

I have ati 5770 btw

? really whats the point of playing the game at that point without shadows.

Because it hardly makes a difference for such a big gain.
