Hi
I have heard that the difference of speed between the Athlon64 and the AthlonXp is very similar and for the difference of prize we are better to buy AthlonXp. Is that true? thanks

Well, it depends. A amd64 at the same rating will beat a xp at the same rating. Such as A64 3200+ vs a-xp 3200+. A a64 usually preforms about 15% better in 32bit software/programs than a xp at the same clock. I think a a64 is a better buy if your looking forward to the future.

MSI Neo-Fis2r

Sapphire 9800pro 128mb

Well whoever told you they're similar is full of sh*t, the 2800+ A64 beats the crap out of the XP3200+. You get the point.

A64-2800+ vs AXP-3200+
Depending on the app it will usually beat it by a small margin yes, but not "beat the crap" out of it, it not a celeron we are talking about...

This A64-3000+ is much faster than an XP clocked to 3000 speeds. Since it is only running stock at 2ghz and the XP runs at 2.16 ghz, that's quite an accomplishment. To bad I have to deliver it tomorrow. :frown:
