I'd like to cover the intakes to help achieve a clean case interior. I have yet to find an on-line merchant that sells air filter cloth (similar to the material used on fan filter housings). Any suggestions?

Thanks -

Bob.

an old tee shirt thats worn real thin works good. or womens pantiehose. but they dont last that long.

I typed in Case Filter in Google and this was the first site. Look at the bottom of the page. I've seen them at CompUSA also. Some are a fine metal mesh, so they can be cleaned and reused.

I too once had money, then I got into computers...

Try using scotchbrite nylon scouring pads.they are self supporting, just cut to size, can be washed. It works for me.On my side case fans I stapled magnetic strip (similar to fridge magnet)to the edges of the pad this holds the filter to the side of the case and can be easily removed for cleaning.

If your mechanically inclined you can always take a cool after market air breather/filter and attatch it to the side of the case with a large fan pulling air in mounted under it.I would think a car filter should last a while.
