Well ALi is part of ACER group.
Aopen(hardware)= Acer Open
ALi(chipsets)= Acer Laboratories Inc.
ACER(PC Building)= Acer Inc.

So that makes my system Totally Anti-Via. Like many people say VIA = Cancer.

Athlon 1000 @ 1500mhz (5 x 300fsb)
384mb DDR-sdram
Transcend TS-ALR4 (ALiMAGiK 1) NO VIA !!!!
30gb 7200rpm ata100
16x DVD
ATi radeon 64mb DDR
SB Live! platuim 5.1
----
just look at this Anti-Via machine.
----
Athlon + via chipsets= Bad
Athlon + AMD,SiS,ALi chipsets = Good
----
Weird thing is i have not seen any new aopen motherboards using an ALi chips

!!! Leader of the Anti-via army !!!
