AM3 AMD Athlon™ II X3 Triple-Core in GF8100 M2+ SE Ver. 6.x ?

Hey guys! I am about to upgrade my motherboard with CPU AM3 AMD Athlon™ II X3 Triple-Core 455,3.30GHz/1.5MB BOX 45nm processor. Will GF8100 M2+ SE Ver. 6.x motherboard run this processor without any problems? Am3 into am2? Will it work?

Hey man! Recently i don't have money for a new motherboard! You didn't answer on my question! Can i put am3 processor into my motherboard or not?

http://www.biostar.com.tw/app/en/mb/cpu_support.php?S_ID=362 doesn't list it, although that doesn't necessarily mean it wont work. Not having full bios support though is never good. Hence I would not recommend it. Make sure you have the latest bios installed, and buy something on the list that is supported.

Thanks guys! I will install the latest bios. Going to borrow am3 processor from my friend and take it to the shop where i am buying AMD Athlon™ II X3 Triple-Core and i will compare it..
