I currently have a msi 880g-e43 motherboard, 16 gigs of corsair vengence memory in there, a Samsung 950 512gb ssd and 4 TB in HDDs, but it ia being driven by a AMD Athlon II x4 640 and graphics through a gts 450 a very over clocked model the asus overcosted but still old. I probably going to get it a new GPU (950 or 1060) to handle the graphics, but I would like to get more life out of this motherboard so looking at AM3 cpu only. This is a media pc but in a full size case so plenty of cooling. It will only be pushing one 1080p TV through a HDMI port. Most likely it will be playing overwatch a lot and maybe doing double duty rendering video in Adobe premier. So the question here is given the possible upgrades 955, 965, 980 and 1100 1090 etc will there really be an appreciable performance boost over my 640. I have a pretty decent cooler (next on there so I should be able to do a decent over clock though the 640 lacked an unlocked multiplier so never did. What would recommendations be for the replacment if so, I will probably be looking to secondary markets and aiming in the sub $100 mark maybe up to $150 if the performance is there, anything more and I may as well just get a better mobo/cpu combo
