I have a question with the AMD 939 processors. Do you have to have dual channel memory to run these or will normal DDR work? I want to switch over to 64, but I just purchased some corsair ram that isn't listed as "dual channel" and I can't see myself buying ram all over again after just making that purchase. Please lemme know if normal DDR will work with these chips.

Your standard DDR will work just fine. It will just be single channel, later if you get another RAM chip you can take advantage of the dual channel.

I dont recommend buying new ram, if anything just buy another stick of what you have to enable the dual channel, but, you don't even have to do this.

Here is my expierence with dual channel: I had an old setup using PC2100. I used two 256MB chips. With the same exact setup, but the dual channel enabled, my PCMark memory score went up almost 500 points.

Ok, thanks alot. I already have 2x512 of the ram so I will just put it in dual channel that way. I thought that that was the reason for the 2 different colored dim slots, but then I was looking around and there is the corsair twinx and the kingston hyperx for 64 which mad me unsure if it would work. Thanks for the help, I'm going with a 939 chip for sure now.
