Hello, this is my first post here :hello: so I hope I don't come off as annoying or anything

Anyway, I'm looking to get a temporary new graphics card. I realize that my options are limited considering the 300w psu. However, I have heard that the Radeon 6670 is good for such a low wattage psu. My current card, the outdated X1300PRO, actually requires 350w, but it has been running quiet with no problems for 1 and a half years now. This leads me to believe that my psu is of decent quality and should be able to handle the 6670. But here's the problem. I have been google'ing this for some time now, and I keeps seeing amps or something being brought up, like, if you don't have x amount of amps then the card won't work. I have Everest Home Edition but I don't see anything about the psu in it. Is it likely that the 6670 will or will not work in my machine?

If this matters, I have speakers and a wireless adapter plugged in to my PC. Obviously a mouse and keyboard, and a monitor. The monitor isn't HD so I don't plan on using the card's full potential or anything.

If you have any other suggestions for a new GPU, please tell me!

One last thing, will my 2.1GHz CPU cause a bottleneck? I'm buying a new one as well anyway, but I may order it after the GPU.

The HD6670 should work fine in your system. It does not require an external power connector to work. Also, your older CPU will be fine as well. While the HD6670 is not a powerhouse, it is a solid GPU for most uses and will even game well at low to medium settings.

Good luck!
