[SOLVED] AMD A10 7800 bottleneck?

My current setup is: an old a10 7800 + sapphire rx550 2gb.
I want to upgrade it, but only the gpu (for the moment), to a RX 580 8gb. Will it affect performance in any way until I can also upgrade my cpu? (hoping to play medium-high settings 1080p)

The A10 7800 is pretty old now - it is going to hold back an RX 580, but that being said it will work (just don't expect to get the max fps possible out of that 580).

It's not a bad idea if you are planning on upgrading the rest of the machine later... if the plan was to keep the A10 longer term then you could save a bit of money and go with something cheaper.
