This was suppose to be a thread praising AMD's achievements to the Computer processor industry

No it wasn't, you tried to make it a thread about how AMD is better than Intel. That's totally different and doesn't belong here.

And just because someone doesn't agree with you, it doesn't make that person an "Intel fanboy". It makes you a blind, stubborn idiot.

This was suppose to be a thread praising AMD's achievements to the Computer processor industry. I did say no Intel fanboys , but obviously people find it hard to comprehend basic English.
here, let's discuss what's "appreciation", shall we?
appreciation means:
I like AMD because they woke Intel from the Netburst fiasco.
I like AMD because they provide better processors in the past, and I'm sure they'll do it this time, too.
I like AMD because it gives Intel competition so we can all enjoy better technology at cheaper price.
I like AMD because Henri is just too sexy.

your statements:
"I then moved onto the XP chip, which was improved over the Thunderbird, but yet again Intel had noting to beat AMD with"

"Then AMD made a revolution by releasing Dual core chips, but yet again Intel’s Dual cores were rubbish in comparison." (Intel made the revolution by going dual core first. X2 came out months later, abide better in performance)

"Now we have Intel's Core 2 Duo, but too be honest they are not all that good."

"Core 2 Duos work out more expensive and too be honest do not run games that much better than the X2’s" (this also translate to, "X2 is good enough for everyone, so Core 2 is not good")

these statements are qualified for fanboy rubbish, who is in complete denial and ignorance.

I find Intel fans get on their high horses more when someone says something bad about their precious Intel :x. AMD have overall achieved more than Intel full Stop!
talk about AMD fanboys huh...

yeah, I too remember, just some not as fondly as you... ahh, the heat, low overclocks, paper launches, exaggerated specific benches and oh yeah, the instability... now I remember...

Plus his claims of the XP beating everything Intel had. If i remember my Northwood P4 kicked/kicks the crap out of any XP chip and many an A64! Then again it is clocked at 3.8ghz

I like how this thread shows the tenacity of this forum, and undeniably impossible it is to have an opinion over something. The OP asked for AMD appreciation, wanted to talk about your history with AMD chips. all he got in the first 10 posts we're spam, negative comments, or nothing related to anything. Just a shame it had to be ruined. Place has gone down the drain in terms of quality over the past 2years. Only a handful of people here that make worth reading a good topic worthwhile, to them I say thank you.

Yeah I got on Flower and moogles about that, it's awesome to have THG's CPU charts going back to the PIII days. It's hard to use hyperbole at truth when there is data that says otherwise.

By the way I think RichPLS was referring to AMD with the above quoted post.

No he didn't. As was stated before, the OP was about bashing Intel with how much better AMD is. That's completely different from appreciation. If you want to see a more legit AMD appreciation thread, look at the "What's your AMD history" thread.

This was just flamebait trying to degrade Intel as well as promote AMD. That's all.

Of course I meant upgrading the motherboard to something new. AM2=not worth it. 939 has served me well, but if the phenom comes in smokin, it may be time to retire it.

Baron? Is it thee?

I really do appreciate AMD cause their competition made my C2D cheaper.
Totally wrong man, I love intel for making my 4800 drop from freaking 800$ to 320$ in ONE day. People keep saying AMD is dropping the prices, but if Intel hadn't introed C2D at such low prices then AMD would still be gouging for their CPU's. Intel could have released their proc's at higher price points, and AMD probably wouldn't have made such huge cuts.

Totally agree with this man. Now AMDs top CPU is less than $300! Can't beat it if you are a current AM2 user.

No he didn't want AMD appreciation, he wanted an AMD fanboy only Intel bashing party. Most people that posted in a manner you interpret as negative only put the light to Flowers lies. If you wish to make false statements don't expect people to just go away and not call you a liar, just cause you tell them not to. Most of the people that posted in a manner that you find negative also said there was no denying that AMD was on top and gave them their dues. To be considered a fanboy, you have to be blind to reason. Is this you?

Sure if you find it necessary to get on hands and knees and kiss Hector's a$$, by all means go ahead, but don't ask us to swallow a load of bull$hit and not say anything.

I love AMD, they, with their limited resources, have kept Intel competitive all these years. As I said earlier had I built my system 12 months earlier than I did, it would have been AMD. Why? Cause they were the best at the time. They aren't now though are they? and poking your head in the sand and pretending the last 9 months haven't happened is stupid. Just cause your head is in the sand, doesn't stop any passerby from coming up and giving you a kick in the a$$.

I kinda doubt it. However misguided he may be, I think he's got significantly more brain capability than this dude.

Agreed. Maybe Sharikou though.

I find Intel is mostly aimed at the Newbie Market, while AMD is aimed at the more advanced technical person's. AMD have always and still remain the best bang for buck while Intel demand inflationary prices for relatively small performance gains. Newbies believe that they are getting a good deal with Intel, but us AMD fans understand processors more so AMD is naturally the better choice for the money.

ROFL!!!!!

Firstly, I havn't seen such a GAY post like this for a long time

And secondly, you either have wayyyyy to much time on your hands, hope some AMD staff member is going to notice you and give you a coaster for brown nosing their brand, or you've been watching too many David Hasselhof movies

I assume by "coaster" you mean Athlon X2, because that's just about all they're good for nowadays. :lol:just kidding but i like aggravating amd fanboys

Just had to jump in to say:

You're so full of crap your eyes are brown.

And this is coming from a guy whose "history" is AMD alone for over five years.

Damn. I wish I had more time this week. There are some fun threads to play in! But, I gotta pay the rent. Later!

You are so much more of a fanboi then anyone that has posted in this thread. You think Intel is for newbies? You are such an idiot! How about threads like these get locked from the begining so that people like you can't spread your rubbish.

Funny you should mention that, I am an Electronics Engineer. I would love to hear how much you know about anything related to the X86 core. As your memory of performance between the two companies seems a little skewed, I suspect that your understanding of anything remotely technical is limited as well.

As for pricing, I can't argue that AMD has always favored the budget crowd (except for the A64). I might even conceed that a lot of people bought Intel over AMD out of ignorance rather than knowing which one was better at the time. What I have a hard time accepting is that you believe that Intel never made a decent CPU ever.

Because of what I do, I have been asked by all my friends, family and co-workers what CPU should be in their systems when they buy. I have to say that I probably 50 - 50 before A64. After the A64 all I recommended was AMD. Now since C2D, Intel if their after performance, AMD if they are on a tight budget. The budget market is starting to slip in my opinion too since Intel's price drops as of April 22nd.

I would agree with you if the OP hadn't bashed intel in every single post he made. He was basically asking for a thread where he could freely bash intel without anyone defending them. He's not asking for AMD appreciation, he's asking for people to talk about how much better AMD is than intel and its freaking crap.

Here let me help you....

The Intel Fanboy Noobs are getting upset because they can't handle the truth.

AMD FOREVER! 😀

Please leave this forum! Are you smoking the weed or is AMD paying you post this crap?! You know what, it is almost worth it to me for AMD to go under and Intel prices to sky rocket, so idiots like you will have no choice but to shut your mouth and go crawl up under a rock somewhere! :x

I thought it would be a great idea to create a AMD appreciation thread because of all the great CPU’s they have provided us with. This is a discussion about AMD, so could Intel fan boys please not reply because they keep creating flame wars….thank you.
My first AMD was the Thunderbird chip at a 1.4Ghz rated speed and these were awesome destroying anything Intel had to offer. I then moved onto the XP chip, which was improved over the Thunderbird, but yet again Intel had noting to beat AMD with.AMD 64 chips were awesome and intel still sucked. Then AMD made a revolution by releasing Dual core chips, but yet again Intel’s Dual cores were rubbish in comparison. Now we have Intel's Core 2 Duo, but too be honest they are not all that good. Core 2 Duos work out more expensive and too be honest do not run games that much better than the X2’s. Long live AMD! We salute you! I cannot wait for the new chips later in the year to annihilate Intel 😀 .

No one wants AMD's old 90nm ancient junk when they can pick up a Core 2. While AMD is sucking red and losing marketshare, Intel is making billions in profit. I predict AMD will exit 2007 with less than 10% of the marketshare.

The tests were conducted on an Intel D975XBX2 BadAxe2, Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6700 and 2x1GB DDR2-800 MHz. The operating system on the test system was Windows XP, with a fresh install before benchmarking each card. Testing of the AMD ATI Radeon HD 2900 XT was performed using the 8.361 Catalyst RC4 drivers, while the GeForce 8800 GTS used ForceWare 158.19 drivers.

Good to know AMD used the world's fastest desktop processor, Core 2 Extreme to benchmark their R600. The scores would have been embarrassingly low if AMD used a K8. Good to see AMD acknowledge their processors are total junk.

Wow after how badly we've treated you, your actually contempting doing this forum a favor by leaving and never coming back. How gracious of you.

Funny how AMD users can debate intelligently, but Intel are really newbish and prefer to start flames etc. Intel fans please leave you are quite frankly embarrassing yourself's.
