Funny how AMD users can debate intelligently, but Intel are really newbish and prefer to start flames etc. Intel fans please leave you are quite frankly embarrassing yourself's.

What are your computer specs? I am curious to what exactly you are running that can embarrass us Intel Core 2 Duo users so badly.

Please follow through with your plan. THG forumz does not welcome ignorant fanboys, AMD or Intel. I think you'd find a better home at AMD zone or rubyworks forums. They both reward facts-free rabid AMD fanboyism. :roll:

Yeah sometimes, but it just the same people knocking this one dude. I got a feeling the guys off his meds and he won't even remember any of this once he get's back on.

I consider it entirely possible that this dude actually isn't retarded and is only posting this because he's bored and can't think of anything better to do than flame on the forums about some stupid topic. Thing is, neither do I- that's why I posted in this thread. I can't wait till I get to go home from work. 😛
 
AMD fans are in a minority on here and I can't argue with that. That's why I said Intel is for newbies because they walk blindly into the mainstream because their local computer shop says its good. AMD fans are the underdog who have done their research and bought AMD. AMD are not such a greedy company like Intel and they value their customers more.

really. if you look closely at people's rig in their sig, you'll notice that there are a lot of AMD users. yet nearly all AMD users flamed you for what you said. why is that? :roll:

if you said this a year ago, i would agree with you. but right now, its as right as George H.W. Bush's statement about "no more new taxes".

they value their customers more so they paper launched 6000+.
they value their customers more so they kept pushing k10 back.
they value their customers more so they published bogus benchmark on its official site.
they value their customers more so Herni claimed "X2s are good enough, so you don't need Core 2.".

i can totally tell that AMD values their customers more. :roll:

Plus his claims of the XP beating everything Intel had. If i remember my Northwood P4 kicked/kicks the crap out of any XP chip and many an A64! Then again it is clocked at 3.8ghz :roll:

Yeah I got on Flower and moogles about that, it's awesome to have THG's CPU charts going back to the PIII days. It's hard to use hyperbole at truth when there is data that says otherwise.

By the way I think RichPLS was referring to AMD with the above quoted post.

viper: Good examples, also remember the exorbitant prices AMD used to charge for it's FX series processors because they didn't have competition.

Yep, you are so right. I blindly bought my E6400 for $223 and overclocked it to 3.2 GHz, blowing out all top end AMD and stock clocked Intel chips at the time, because some guy at my local computer shop told me it was good to do. That about sums it up for all my computer purchaseing decisions. :roll:

Now for what really happened. I had an Opteron 165 clocked at 2.7 GHz (which BTW replaced a X2 4200+ that would not over clock worth a crap) which I sold because I wanted as much BANG for the buck I could get and I was ready to get out from under that aging 939 setup I had.

Oh yeah, my local computer shop guru told me to do that to. :lol:

I have not owned an Intel CPU since my 300A celeron running at 450mhz.
Am I an AMD fanboy? Yes, I am.
I don't care if you can buy a faster CPU from somewhere else.
I simply excerise my right to spend my money however I wish, and that is NOT spend my money with Intel. Call it brand loyalty, call it an idiot's choice, call it whatever you want. Until AMD goes belly up and their products are wiped from the face the earth, and Intel is the only choice left, I will always buy from AMD. There are plenty of people who always buy Intel, so I'll do my teeny, tiny insignificant part to keep the competition healthy.
I hope Intel and AMD stay in business and keep releasing decent products for a fair value for years to come. Long live competition, we all win in the end.
