Yes, its understood that OC'ing is a relative aspect depending on each chips capabilities, but 4.0GHz is very commonly hit. Im not sure why you are making as much of a deal about this.
I'm not confusing or convincing the thread, and you must understand that it's not a must to get 4.0 GHz stable because you have a BE CPU, i was posting and making fun of people in the Overclocking section because they were'nt able to hit 4.0 GHz with a BE even though it's just a bumping in multiplier and voltage.
i was able to get a stable 4.1 GHz, after a BIOS update i'm only able to get 3.7-3.8 until i flashed back.
so, again any overclocking achievement is not a must and it depends on a lot of factors.
Also, for the great common sense factor, a quad core running without Hyper-Threading will see no major performance boosts past the 3.8-4.0 mark anyways. Correct me if im wrong?
