Hello,

I have an AMD Athlon x3 processor and are planning to buy a Sapphire Radeon HD 6850 1 GB Graphic Card.

Would this work in games?
are the processor good enough to play bfbc2 or black ops?
can this graphic card work with this processor?

i have cheked the motherboard, place and power.
but when i am using: Can you run it (http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/.) it says that my CPU is to low to play bfbc2 and black ops.
do you know if that is true, or is the netside wrong?

I just got my MSI 6950 (xfx all sold out on the egg =/) and it flashed flawlessly. Furmark/Crysis2 stable :). I now have a 6970 with less power usage than a traditional 6970, and temps are still lower than my old 4890s. *flex

That reminds me... time to change my config.

If you do go this route, make sure you buy the reference version (original AMD cooler).

I have a Athlon 445 @ 3.4 Ghz and a 6850. While I have not played either of those games it has run all the games I have tried flawlessly. I think you will be fine.

According to that it says I can run both "fast" and exceed requirements on both games.

i know
i am also buying a new cabinet with 500 W PSU.
i have talked to some people and they say that 500 is enough

Careful; many PSUs that come with a case (Antec is a notable exception) are overrated junk that can't produce anywhere near 500W.
A quality modern PSU has full range active PFC (no little voltage switch) and 80+ certification for efficiency. Antec, Seasonic, Corsair, Enermax, and XFX are among the better brands.
Logisys, which Newegg has been shamefully including in a lot of their combos lately, is among the worst.

Yes, that is indeed one of the "notable exceptions" from Antec.
You'll like that case too, unless you overclock a lot. Cooling isn't great for overclocking (you'd want to add a front fan), but it is solid, well-built, and very quiet.

Edit: Don't worry, you don't need to add another fan if you either won't OC or only do mild increases.
