The 1230v3 is not capable of being overclocked, though it really isn't necessary. I would go with a 1230v3 and Z97 extreme3, if you want SLI/CF capability, and use the money saved towards better GPU or maybe even a nice SSD.

If your mobo supports a fx 8350 buy that with a good cooler. A hyper 212 should do it and wait for Broadwell.

When Intel announced the Broadwell schedule slip, they said it had no impact on the Skylake schedule so in principle, that should mean Skylake is still on track for a mid-2015 launch and Broadwell-D will only be current for 6-8 months.

If someone is going to bother upgrading his temporary rig to FX8320, might as well wait for Skylake - get some more mileage on that upgraded temporary rig and get a little more bang-per-buck out of the future upgrade.
