amd fx6300 overheating after even new cooler

I have amd fx 6300 as my processor recently my stock cooler stopped working and I bought another cooler

The cooler works fine the temperature under idle condition is 34c but when I try to play game like csgo or Dota the processor starts to overheat until 90c and shuts itself off this happens when I go in game after 2-3 mins I tried prime 95 stress testing and under 10seconds pc got overheat and shuts itself down



I also turned off turbo core but there are same results

my mother board is asus m5a97 r2.0
ram 8gb ddr3
geforce gtx 650ti boost 1 gb gddr5 gpu

That cooler isn't good enough to cool an AMD FX CPU.

Agreed - you want something a bit beefier than what you have chosen.

Still though it should not reach 90. Did you remove the plastic film which is at the bottom of the cooler? Download speed fan and check if the cooler is running at max speed when under load.
