Amd hd 5570 is compaitable with intel g41

I have decided to buy powercolor ati hd 5570 1gb ddr3.

my question is will my mobo g41 s2p will support this card?. it has pci x16 1.1 slot

i heard that pci e 2.1 card has issue running at 1.1 slot of specific motherboard.is that true?


please clear my doubt. can i run it on g 41 s2p?

intel pentium dual core 3.0ghz
intel g41 s2 p
4 gb ddr3 ram
500gb hd
windows 7 64 bit

The problem arose with some PCI-E 1.0/1.0a motherboards that were not be able to provide the increased power that PCI-E 2.1 cards expect.

With PCI-E v1.1 motherboards there was a work around for this problem that was provided with a motherboard BIOS update.

If you're using the latest BIOS version for your motherboard you shouldn't have a problem.
