Amd phenom 2 or core i3 540??????

im planning to buy a pc...just confused badly.
Amd gives graphics but long race runner is core i3. Which to choose for gaming??? Core i3 540 or amd phenom 2 or athlon??????? Coz i need an inexpensive pc bulid

On a budget gaming build I suggest you get the i3 2100 if you can afford it, if not an
Athlon x3 or x4. Remember the GPU is very important for gaming so an Athlon x3 + a Radeon 6850 is better than a 2100 with a 5770. If you give us your budget for CPU board and GPU we can recommend the best deal.

i cant really afford above 4670 or 4770 hd graphic... ! U feel Athlon x3 is better than x4???? but compared to core i3 540 better than amd???

The 540 is better but is around $45-55 (for CPU & board) more than an Athlon x3 which is the difference between a 4670 and a 5770. Also the 540 is the same price as a 2100 and the 2100 is much better.

but h67 boards out here for core i2100 are very few and expensive....can u plz suggest a good value and sfoordable h67 chipset?????? Plz plz reply soon

You want to be careful to balance cpu/gpu performance with your budget constraints. I'd say a Regor (AthlonII X2) would be a good buy if it meant throwing an extra $20 at your GPU/PSU.
