Hellboy, funny you should mention the Trident card. I just pulled 1 from my system. It is a 4Mb Jaton 9685 Trident Video Accelerator, I had to use it during EVGA step-up, meh.. what a long 2 weeks. LOL

Wow, a top of the range super deluxe model with retention screws and heat sink...

Gawd i remember when a 1mb ISA t8900 was the dogs...

oh well, reminiscing..

Be quite something if it were true but I wouldn't believe Inquirer if they told me that my house was on fire if smoke was rolling out the windows. I used to like them but they really went fanboi over there.

The Inq is a tech tabloid site.

If you don't understand what that particular media concept is then I guess you should stay away ... it has been known to suck a few people in.

I find the story titles are quite humorous ... well thought out really.

Remember it is supposed to be funny ... and appeal to geeks.

Facts AND Friction ...

Like when was the last time a story at THG or Anandtech made you laugh ??

Rob W is the only staffer here with a sense of humour ...

I guess when you put it that way reynod it makes sense. The scary part is some people take what they say seriously. For me personally, they hold zero credibility so I have a bad habit of scoffing when people dropping Inquirer links like it represents anything. Much like AMD purists scoff at [H]ardcrap.

yes its more the gutter press of the tech industry, and some times they pick up on a story that slips by all the other sites

One more combo, although it's not as fun[ny] or "pro as the Magic one":

http://www.tweaktown.com/news/11206/jetway_offers_upgrade_friendly_am3_board/index.html

The MA3-79GDG COMBO features two DDR2-1066 slots and two DDR3-1066 slots. It is a micro-ATX offering, making use of the 790GX and SB750 chipset combo.

Other features include Radeon HD 3300 IGP along with two PCI-E 2.0 x16 slots to allow for Hybrid Crossfire or CrossfireX support, seven SATA-II ports, single IDE connector, 7.1 channel audio with optical and co-axial S/PDIF, Gigabit Ethernet and 1x eSATA. Video output choices include D-Sub, DVI and HDMI.

A price hasn't been mentioned yet, but it's said to become available in stores sometime next month.

OBS: Is it just me or DDR3-1066 sucks?

I wonder if THG will employ us Reynod...

Sure it'll be the end of THG as we know it... but I'm an awesome article writer... with my unmatched lack of attention and hyperactive 2 words per minute typing speed, we'll be done in no time! (Well for me at least... you can do everything)

...but first I gotta finish reading this addictive book...

I wonder if they will make a movie about this...

He was holding his nvidia chipset based motherboard, but had to drop his nforce 4 as he realised he didnt want to be the new heatsink Nvidia desperately needed

OMG, "boy from hell", you have 3 rigs featuring together 3 TBs of space, man! Which do you enjoy the most [wait, don't beat me with the Q9550]? Can you actually tell the difference between them while not gaming or encoding, if I may ask?
