AMD Phenom II X4 965 vs. Intel core i5-750

With a Phenom II rig you have two chipset brands to choose from.

AMD: CrossfireX
nVIDIA: SLI

Neither of the two will do both SLI and CrossfireX

What BadTrip is saying is that the P55 chipset supports both CrossfireX and SLI.

I am sorry, but the I5 is superior, especially if you set the I5 at the same clock speed as the Phenom which is definitely doable due to the low thermal profile of the I5-many people can actually get up to 4 GHZ with the I5-those benchmarks blow the Phenom II out of the water.

I mention that I don't think Intel ever paid anybody off and I infer that they distributed more equipment than AMD did causing sites to like them.

And you come up with something that makes no sense and completely contradicts what I said and claim it's my logic?

It is often humorous to work through your twisted fanboy logic.

That's probably weaker than Jenny's argument. Maybe the FTC just don't like Intel because they are in bed with the little guy? If you knew how much hardware reviewers receive, it makes no difference if Intel sends more, and that's assuming they do. For the latest launch with i5 6xx they only sent one chip.

Let's review:

I tell Jenny that I don't agree with her and I give her my opinion.

1. That opinion is then warped into some strange reality where somehow I said completely the opposite.
2. Then I'm called a hypocrite for no ascertainable reason. (Other than Chad is a fanboy that doesn't like my choice in brands.)
3. And now you have turned my opinion into some kind of an argument that is weaker than Jenny's... even though I wasn't making an argument but stating an opinion.

OKAY: What's next?

I guess I'll go back to not disagreeing with Jenny. It's safer on this forum.

When you are calling other people fanboy's, are you suggesting that you are not an AMD fanboy?

No. I have never suggested such a thing ever. I have no problem admitting bias. Unlike some people who pretend they are neutral and then start a troll thread. Or several of them.

And the funny thing is... it was the Intel fanboys on this very forum that actually made me biased.

So it is just fanboy wars?

Do you think Elmo would buy a Bulldozer system if it proves to be the best performing system in 18 months time if he is in the market for a new system, or do you think he would buy an Intel system that performs at a lower level?

He will pretend to be neutral, keep what he has and be hypocritical of everything. You know... no change. (EDIT: With the same condescending attitude.)

An argument is made up of opinions or facts. You're still saying that Intel is bribing reviewers, just with hardware and not with money. Yet you don't know how much hardware they send and for some reason you think that it would make a difference to the benchmark results. :??:

My question though supposes he needs to buy a new system, do you really think he would not buy AMD if they have a better(i.e. performance/cost/features) system for what he needs?

No difference to the benchmark results whatsoever.

But it might make people not write conclusions to benchmark reviews that don't actually match the data in that review.

I think personal preferences would have a greater effect on conclusions than how much hardware is received. Like I said before, they receive so much hardware that it really makes no difference. I've even tried to buy some off the reviewers here but they are hoarders and want to keep everything "just in case" :fou:

Whether he would buy one or not in no way reflects upon whether he is extremely biased at this time. All you have to do is look a few of the troll threads he has started.

AND: Regardless of anything he will keep his condescending attitude on forums.

But Intel does send more than just hardware. That goes a long way to giving people that warm and fuzzy feeling... which does affect their personal preference.

Heck... I admit that this forum has affected my personal preferences.

No money for bribes is needed. Besides: people generally always start out being biased towards Intel. Even if they now are "professional reviewers" they will have a bias one way or another. People are not robots. And taking part in discussions like we have had on this forum will jade anybody.

I guess the biggest factor that affects people's personal preferences is any really bad hardware experiences they have had.

Missed this before... Knowing Elmo, he will buy it even if the reason is "because I can." The guy could start his own vendor business with the amount of hardware he has lying around. Granted, much of it is old as well as new.

And it's important for any reviewer to keep personal preference out of the way.

That I agree with. It doesn't matter how much you claim to be neutral or "know the truth" you will still have some amount of bias, be it relatively insignificant or completely in you face.

Which is quite irrational really. After the Seagate 7200.11 debacle people were saying they'd never buy Seagate again as though botched lines of hardware are unheard of in the industry. Considering the problem went from software to managerial, peoples' anxiety was about the wrong issue.

We call ourselves a rational species. Pfff

Your own argument is flawed, and the flaws declare you wrongo.

If Lost Circuits is very accurate.

and LC is perhaps the only truly reliable site on the net, and does very thorough reviews. They are described as a trusted site - unlike MOST others.

But all this benchmarketing is now called into question - while we await the reconstruction of the DEFECTIVE COMPILER.
None of it has reliable meaning - it is all geared to be a cover up for spintel lies.
And now spintel has to fix it, compensate companies who supplied clients for replacement costs, and issue a public statement - what a joke that will be from the arrogant swine.

What you call Reason, I call Brainwash Propaganda at the hands of the King of Antitrust.

Thank for this handy ref list of least reliable, most biased, oft considered paid spintel sites, and generally considered grossly biased and/or incompetent. All great places to be mislead.

Right now, on the home page here, there are several spintel articles and nothing AMD.
I suppose that's called Reasoning also - too bad you can't reason the obvious.

To help you there powerful governments agencies at work to undo the damage so that even you can be prevented from deluding innocent people and misrepresenting reality. thank you very little.

funny that when the numbers say AMD WINS, you want to close the discussion.
Generally, the FUD says that even tho AMD is obviously a smarter choice, that innocent, easily influenced noobs should just listen to whatever they are told and buy spintel cos it's just better even tho it's spintel and all the lies and antitrust stuff and rebates and lame cheat compilers - somehow just don't matter cos all corporations are the same????

You may as well just start posting biscuit recipes.

That wouldn't be any more out of place than the illogical nonsense you keep spouting.

It is my personal experience that the spintel slime is on everything they say. If you go there and can't see that, then no evidence will convince you of anything that would disturb your soon-to-crumble support of and by spintel. Personal experience is not something that can be denied; esp. when you have the same experience repeatedly even while hoping it doesn't happen again. they are shill. they are tricksters. they change the conditions mid review to prove some bogus point, they do AMD reviews that consist largely of dissertations about spintel. they have no class. they have a parade of idiots following then - you really do not want to align yourself with such trash. To speak highly of it is a mere indicator of a low state of being, in some way or other - an indicator that is impossible to ignore. (altho u seem to get there)

You lose Lmo, and you completely missed the point.

spintel is doomed - and you are going to look real funny when it happens - that will be good for a lot of laughs.

and xbit is just another paid spintel site too

come back to reality fanboy. actually, don't bother. you are an ez target as you are - esp. when you post huge abusive paragraphs of you hollow logic to try to sway thinking through some kind of little bitty bully intimidation
bring it. haha

That is a great question. Is a paid site free to be honest, and do everything it can to be open and objective, and, beyond that.....

IF most of the sites are shill sites, then a statistical average of all of their results is still going to be shill. And this is consistent with the rebate scandal in which all of the OEMs were bribed, forced, financially coerced. Ya think if they can buy the OEM's that MAYBE they could buy a few CHEAP websites.

perhaps Lmo could do the math on this one. whether he is a girl or not. as if that had relevance.
