Intel's only in there counting the top 500, which includes older and much slower systems. Try the top 100 for an eye-opener. Intel has a lot of work in making up for the last decade of basically tic-tok monopoly production--having spent a fortune on R&D with little to show for it. AMD means to be #1, make no mistake about that. I hope that Intel can become competitive again, but I'm just not sure the company has the guidance or the motivation at this point.

ARM took #2 with Fugaku.
POWER & nVIDIA took #4/#5 slots respectively.

Where's Intel in the Super Computing race? They're below the Top 5.

I'd like to see a chart showing cost of super computers over time and how it scales with performance. I wonder if it's similar to cost/performance of chip manufacturing.

Wow. Intel holds spot #9, and that supercomputer has 1/18th of the performance of AMD's #1.

Aurora vs Frontier exemplifies Intel vs AMD on so many levels. If El Capitan becomes operational before Aurora that will really be a black eye for Intel.
