AMD Radeon HD 7520G only using 512MB of dedicated memory

I bought this HP Pavilion g7 2246nr laptop solely for the purpose of gaming and it claims to have 3GB of dedicated graphics memory on the Radeon HD 7520G card. However, it's only using 512MB of it according to 3DMarkVantage and various other tools out there.

I've looked and I've looked but cannot find a way to change that value and truly unlock the potential of this laptop. BIOs settings for it are non-existant and the AMD Vision Center doesn't give an option of how much memory to use on their card.

Please help!

It is NOT dedicated memory. It is up to 3GB of shared system memory, which you would not want to do anyway. 1GB would be plenty for that and 512 is probably not hurting you much. Windows automatically shares memory is there is no setting in the bios

Thank you! How does one allocate system memory to the graphics card then if there was no option to in the BIOs?

LMAO.

If you wanted a gaming laptop then you should of bought a "gaming laptop". Don't expect any laptop with a APU to do very well in gaming.

Also, notice how it says "up to" 3053MB? That means it can use "up to" that much, but unless you have that much free RAM in your laptop then it won't come close. I would suggest upping the laptop to 8GB's RAM so it can utilize a little bit more graphics memory.
