I recently bought a graphics card Gigabyte AMD Radeon RX 550 2GB and installed in the pice 16 slot of Dell Optiplex 380 motherboard.

Windows 7 detects the card. I installed the Radeon RX 550 driver from the manufacturer CD. However, when opened the device manager. The video card had a warning that windows has stopped this card as it has reported an error. When I let windows to choose a driver, it installs basic Microsoft display adopter driver, without any error.

I tried it several times, installing and reinstalling etc.

My monitor is connected through my AMD Radeon card, and show on screen display even the AMD divers and Graphics Engine software not installed correctly.

Is AMD Radeon RX550 not compatible with Optiolex 380 desktop? Or Is there a problem with my AND Radeon card?

Can I do something to make it work.

Any suggestions would be greatly received

Solution
AMD cards from GCN3 on up have an issue with the Dell BIOS. They can't display the VESA Mode 103 video resolution they require. Your lucky it runs at all.
No fix from Dell or AMD. R9-3xx (and 285) cards and newer don't work. R9-2xx, R7 and HD series are OK (except R9-285). You will probably find you can't enter BIOS Setup. Also EUFI cards won't work. Nvidia Legacy BIOS cards are the way to go.
