Hello guys,

I just built a Desktop and tried installing some programs and games. While trying to play games (more specifically while running League of Legends client), the PC rebooted, and generally it reboots while gaming. What do you guys believe that could cause this? The temperature while loading all these I think that is OK (approximately 70-80 and sometimes approaches or reaches 90+). Maybe there is a problem with Voltage (VCore voltage is 1.4 on bios)?

PC Specs:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700x
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3060 12GB GDDR6 Gaming OC rev. 2.0
Motherboard: MSI Pro B650-S WIFI
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2x16 DDR5 5200MHz
SSD: Western Digital SN770 SSD 1TB M.2 NVMe PCI Express 4.0
CPU Fan: Arctic Freezer 36
PSU: Seasonic G12 GC 750W 80 Plus Gold
Case: Kolink Observatory HF Mesh

Those are high temps, for idle and on load. You sure your mount for the cooler is proper? BIOS version for you motherboard at this moment of time? What OS are you working with and where did you source the installer for the OS?

How are the fans oriented in your case and your build?

Thanks for replying! Unfortunately, I did not do the actual build, a friend of mine did, so I can't really tell if the mount is proper or how the fans are oriennted in my case (as a newbie I could say that the cooling when I put my hand inside the box seems to be working :p). I am running Windows 11 home and I installed it from the official Microsoft site.

UPDATE: I ran Prime95 CPU test at max stress for 15 minutes and my system did not restart (was at 95 degrees all the time though).

Hello guys,

I just built a Desktop and tried installing some programs and games. While trying to play a game, the PC rebooted. After retrying, I succesfully played a whole game of LoL without rebooting, but in the next game , I got a reboot again (after the reboot, I rejoined and finished the game succesfully). Sometimes I get reboots even when I'm just on the browser, so I would say it is completely random. The temperature while playing I think is OK (approximately 60-70). Also, in event viewer I get this: The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

What could cause all these?

Please stick to one thread, unless you want spaghetti brains.

This is your second thread when compared to this one;
