ill answer ur first question as i have no experience in the enterprise shit, but jeese seems to have addressed that in the post below urs. for the dell needs amd for the future, this couldnt be more wrong. do u see dells profits falling because they refuse to sell amd? no. do u see amd asking dell every few years to suport their processors? yes. it looks as if amd not NEED but REALLY WANTS dell as a partner, they know that dell will boost their profits a ton. dell by NO MEANS needs amd, dell has been around for a long ass time without the help of amd and they continue to grow and get more money without the help of amd, they are said to have a deal with intel getting cheap processors if they dont deal with amd, maybe intel fears amd getting too powerful and overtaking the processor market share, but its doubtful to happen, at least not in the next 5 years. dell probably wont pick up amd, and amd will go back and work harder to make better processors than intel and still sell them for cheaper, then in another 3 years amd will ask dell again, and who knows maybe theyll accept. either way none of these 3 coorperations (amd intel dell) are going anywhere anytime soon, if anything id say intel needs dell to keep control of amds profits, but dell will not fail because they dont take amd, that will nevere happen. people who buy dells buy them because they trust pentium, there old enough and remember how shitty the old amds were and still hold grudges against them, they know the pentium/intel name and believe its better than amd. people who buy dells dont go online and research benchmarks and look at price/perforamnce, they go online and buy what they think they need, they dont even configure or customize it, they buy what dell recommends is enough power for waht there gonna be using it for, and im sure 99.9% of the time its plenty. i dont know what else to say u just dont even read this i bet, u think dell despritly needs amd to get more profits, i bet u anything that if dell picked up amd, not one person on this forum would buy a dell with an amd, theyd build it before, or even buy an hp because theyve supported amd for a while now. but good luck debating with the people with more knowledge than me over hte fact that "dell will go bankrupt without amd"
