I have been knowing that AMD Sempron is 32-bit processor. But on Canada Computers website (http://www.canadacomputers.com) I was a bit surprised at the labeling in CPU list, indicating like Sempron is 64-bit. It was labeled such that "AMD Sempron 2500+ 64Bit 1.4GHz Socket 754 256KB L2 Cache 1600MHz HT (Retail Box)" Is this their mistake? or My misconception?

Oh, Sempron 64bit exist? I've searched on the google, its forum thread says that Sempron 64bit is based on x86-64...I didn't know this! 😀

Then I need to modify original question a bit like this: mobile Sempron is 64bit??

Most of the Semprons became 64 bit early this fall (late summer?). You'll have to check the model # with AMD to be sure in case you're getting old non-64bit stock.
