Darn would have loved to get a 6 core.

Who cares about X6 with the Mc-Intel-Affee-Idiot CPU coming soon now is the time to jumps ship to AMD for me at least.

Where can I get a 4 cpu Amd motherboard ?
I will need 10 to replace all Apple / Intel / Affee / Idiot pc's I have.

I wish they would say one way or another what the backward compatibility will be with Socket AM3r2 - AM3r2 CPUs in AM3 mobos? AM3 cpus in AM3r2 mobos? Both? If the first one is yes, I'd jump on board and simply do a drop in upgrade with a Bulldozer later. As it is, going to have to wait till they deem it appropriate to let me know.

Hopefully the UK will see similar price drops. Im waiting till the 955 drops below £100 before picking one up. The price has been floating around £120-£135 for the last few months now. Every cut is a step closer!

[citation][nom]ravewulf[/nom]I was already looking into getting an Athlon II X4 640 soon, now I'm positive I'm getting that one.Now if I could just find a micro ATX mobo with SATA 3, USB 3, and firewire (for DVI video cameras) at a good price (I'm on a college student budget).[/citation]

Look for Biostar MCP63 Motherboard - GeForce 6150, Socket AM3, or
ECS MCP61M-M3 Motherboard - Socket AM3, this was at 29.99 after MIR on C. City.

NOTE: NO ADVERTISING IS INTENDED, just a lil bit of help!

Intel lost my business the moment I realized they were peddling a CPU for $1100. I could build an entire high-powered AMD rig for half that!
