Is that what Americans think of on Australians..

I bet they had Fosters, Castle Main XXXX and Barbeque chicken on the menu

"Grilled Chicken on the Barbie" ("Barbie" isn't a yank word)

The menu online doesn't have their drink selection though, but I'm fairly certain they had Fosters.

The best thing they have are the Ribs and the "Aussie Cheese Fries". Their fries have this AWESOME seasoning, then they put montery jack, cheddar, and bacon all over them, it's so freaking good.

Also the bathroom doesn't say "Men" it says "Blokes" and there are boomerangs everywhere. Basically, whenever I think of AMDFanGirl, I think of a waitress at Outback Steakhouse.

Outback comes from the phrase Out on Back which means generally they drank too much beer and passed out..

Please note : - it would have to be a lot of Fosters

Weather or not you like a rams rack is none of our business and belongs to the Shepards Sheep Fetish Forum which i heard from Reynod in which he visits regulary.

New Zealanders and Welsh have a lot to answer for

jaydeejohn "But, a power screwdriver works and is capable of doing what a regular one cant."

No, not always the best use for the job (coming from a technician), many people that are not good with tools/their hands, and use a power screwdriver can easily strip the head of the screw (and render it useless, esp if it has to be removed) if they are not capable of using the tool properly!

Also, many times a power screwdriver is too large to be used in the confined space where the screw is located.

I have to agree with most on here that battery power is paramount.

Many of us are grown up and don't have time (nor care to) play video games!

As I said, I'm a technician and I'm in different people's homes all the time. When I connect the equipment I'm installing (including a powerbar) I often have NO room to connect a charger for my laptop!
Therefore, it's important for me to have enough "juice" in my battery to enable me to do my job without fear of my battery dying and that setting me back in terms of time/accomplishing my work!

I have been using computers for over 20 years and I couldn't give a rat's ass about graphics compared to processing power or battery life!

I don't need graphics for my work, for surfing the web, word processing, excel, downloading music/movies/torrents, incl. ebooks...or reading them for that matter). I don't need it for transferring (or backing up) photos taken from my phone or camera or sharing them across the net. I don't need it for backing up my phone.

I also DJ on my laptop (and this is something you can't do with a desktop since you need, not only the music but the program(s) to accomplish this as well, and need to take it from site to site!) and I produce music as well. NONE of these uses require major graphics processing.
They DO, however, require CPU power!

Also, I have enough equipment and cables to carry around and worry about, I know I would rather not have to worry about carrying around another battery. What about if I'm in the middle of my work and my battery is about to die? It's not always work that can be saved in order for me to shut down and switch batteries. What do I do then?

Think "real world" situations for "real world" people! Not those living in the fantasy land of games!

The entire population does not play video games!
Even students should (and I'm sure most are) be more concerned with their work/studies & everyday life & struggles, than playing games.
I'm pretty sure most of us here are not 11/12 anymore, lol.

People have errands, work & or school, families, family/personal issues, relationships, and on top of that all trying to find time to exercise to be/remain healthy....forget sitting around on one's ass playing games.

The gaming world is a small percentage compared to most of society (grown ups).

jennyh all I seem to read is you talking about games. how old are you? does your life ONLY consist of educating yourself on computers/technology and playing video games?
You say, and I quote:
"What if your kids want to use it? Or somebody else who might want to play a game every so often?"

I actually don't know anyone really that plays games on their computer. Most people I know work for a living and have g/f's or b/f's or husbands or wives and if it's not work it's spending time with their loved ones or dealing with real life. Maybe on the weekend they go out to a club/bar/restaraunt/social event!
Those that do play games do so on their xbox, playstation/wii!

As for kids, I don't have any but if I did I certainly as hell wouldn't let my kid be playing games on my laptop. We have a family friend's daugther who's 11 that comes here and she was allowed to use the computer; the next thing we knew we had all kinds of problems that arose from sites she had visited. A kid doesn't need a laptop. They can use a cheap desktop pc and screw it up all they want!

Not at all! To each their own. But I have a problem with gamers that think they're the market share of laptop users and that graphics processing is the most relevant characteristic.
Have you read the first 2-3 pages of this article?

Basically the AMD'ers seem to think that there isn't much "work" one needs to accomplish on a laptop and that more people require graphics than anything else, including battery life which I think is foolish.

There's much more one can do on a laptop other than typical "work" and/or gaming!

Forget video, what about AUDIO? (for example)
