I think they have a X4500M tho... might not be the same... dam Intel.

Is there a application list on which programs work on which IGP..

That would be and good start :)

You ever programmed a database - geez somethings need distraction :)

Yeah true, Just need to finish Einsteins Theory of Relativity before i need to pack the dishwasher :)

Like I just posted elsewhere, this notion of what a igp is, and what it should do is mainly limited to usage.
So far, Intel defines that usage as capable, with diminishing returns in gaming, or even having only single decoders.
Once someone creates a igp that suercedes this, all notions of Intels approach are down the drain, and become moot, and will be pushed into a small market base

The reason I mention this is, theres much talk going around that the current gpu makers are possibly going to let the low end gpus die out, with igps taking their place. Thus, the new definition of what a igp is.
If Intel, or anyone else enters this new definition of igps, theyll also have to have the capabilities.
Then is when we can make a more sweeping staement of what a igp is good for, as we see them vastly improve in ability.
Currently, the waters muddied, mainly due to Intels overall portion of this market, and its seperate definition of their use, vs its competition

I would imagine that most consumers don't really understand what an IGP or video card is, let alone need one.

I think the big thing is delivering what people want at a price they want it. The Intel IGP does this (not to say that AMD doesn't have options as well).

Plus tune a strum 😀.

IIRC she had to practice playing in front of a mirror, as those chest protrusions got in the way of seeing the guitar fretboard. Although I seriously doubt anybody in her audience was looking at her guitar. She couldda played the air guitar naked for all they cared 😀 ...

Well, its widely known that Intels approach of "people dont want better gfx " on netbook platforms is a failing philosophy, because they do, the market shows this, it also applies to notebooks as well.
Going from there, rumors are mounting that both nVidia and ATI may be heading out their low end gpus in fa
favor of more robust igps.
If this comes to pass, these "descrepencies" of bad articles such as the Anands one wont either be done anymore, or itll just show how much theyre out of the loop, or just show blatant favortism
The consumer doesnt have to know exactly whats inside, ala the heatburst out selling the K8, it come down to performance, which isnt as easily hidden in gfx performance thru advertising

Try putting the Theory in the dishwasher - it'll all come together in the rinse cycle 😀

Im sure many things will come all together in the wash but then again I would be accused of totaly diversifying the origional subject.

BTW for amusement, I had a look at Second Life - just to see what it was all about...

Ive just bought my bus pass so i can get out more as after seeing Second Life, youll realise that there are more sados than on a national sado week tour ocean liner... Within seconds a woman, a 22 year old from somewhere in Canada ( are they all like that ) wishing to wisk me off some where with nothing more than a Oreo and a glass of milk.

Yeah but the space dust request freaked me out..

Im now sitting on my reclining chair stroking my "ahem" cat on a Thunderman fashion shouting "AMD IGP's - This will save AMD, Intel are evil. AMD will rule the world with the 780 / 785 igp technology... " bibble bibble
