Hello so, I have 5 years old, and some months ago my CPU started running on only 1,4 GHz. I dont know what to do. So please, if anyone know what to do please help me.
MY PC:
CPU: AMD FX 6350
GPU: AMD RADEON R7 370 Series
RAM: 8GB DDR3 PROBABLY HYPERX
MOTHERBOARD: MSI 970 Gaming

You will need to put the computer under some sort of load to see the max clock of the CPU, open a somewhat demanding game in windowed mode or run a benchmark while looking at the CPU clock in Task Manger or CPU-Z and see where the clock speed is, at idle or varly light loads, it's normal for it to sit at a low clock, uses less power and keeps temps down at idle.

If the cpu stays at 1.4ghz and you get bad performance, check CPU temperatures and make sure the bios is updated on that board, although that should cause it on a 970FX, but you never know.
