GPU: gtx 1060 3gb
RAM: 8gb 1866
MOBO: Gigabyte Micro ATX Motherboard GA-78LMT-USB3

update:

would it still be as much of a bottleneck with a, 1050 ti?

Solution
If you already have a 750ti then keep that.

You would still bottleneck the 1050 ti.
I would estimate you can tap into 60% of the increase of the 1050 vs 750, so the $125-150 for the 1050 is not worth it.
That money will be much much better spent saving for Ryzen or Intel platform
Do you already have the cpu/mobo setup and just wanting to get a better GPU, or trying to build a new budget gaming system?

That fx-6300 is last generation hardware with 2012 level performance.
If buying new, you are paying a good amount of money for something already pretty weak by today's standards. Not to mention that board is very low end and wont overclock very well.

Also that 430w model of EVGA psu is not very good quality and you will run it into the ground fairly quickly with something like a 1060.

i already have the parts, except for the gpu ( i was originally using a 750ti)
would a 1050 ti be a much better idea, or still a bottlneck?

Thank you for your answer, i'd appreciate it if you could suggest a good build for a 1060 3g or 6g
