That's a bog standard 44-pin IDE interface. You're highly unlikely to find any still functional compatible drives today. That model Sony is at least 15 years old and so isn't going to run anything from the modern era anyway. Trash it and call it a day.

When it comes to laptops, "vintage" is quite different than PC. Usually not worth getting anything "new" for it.

You can get decent 10+ year old PC parts, but anything that old for a laptop is mostly e-waste.

Someone probably makes a 44-pin to flash card adapter. Might be worth it if you really want to keep an old machine running.
Plenty of them on eBay, under titles like, "IDE 44 Pin Male to CF Compact Flash Male Adapter".
I've used them in old Sony VIAO's (the tiny purple & silver ones) as well as Itronix & Thinkpads. I highly recommend them for old IDE laptops, there's a considerable increase in both speed and battery life.
