I was hoping to get another GTX 980 to sli with my current one however I think I might have gone a little crazy on this build.
This will be for gaming and 3D modeling.

Things that I do not want to change except maybe for a better alternative:
The Case and Motherboard.

Things that I would prefer not to change:
CPU and PSU

Things I am thinking about changing:
CPU Cooler ---> Air Cooler (maybe a Noctua NH D-15)
*I don't OC or ever intend to so at a high speed, however I love low temps.
RAM ----> 2400 model as I've been told RAM is not anything special
Storage ---> Considering a 1 TB 7200 RPM to hold me over.

Budget: $1750 including tax shipping etc.

I was actually about to buy this build this afternoon when the prices jumped up on a couple of my components which were on sale, should have gotten them while I had the chance. It was mainly the Motherboard was cut this morning from $299 to $269 for about 12 hours on Amazon and right when I decided to buy it I refreshed my cart (it had been sitting there for an hour or so as I read reviews) and the price updated.

Lol the prices we pay for vanity. Though you could get a ram cooler that sports white leds.

The thing is you stated your not going to OC so getting the 6700k is throwing money away go with the i7 6700 non k. Then you could get a Evo 212 cpu cooler cause if again not OCing water cooling isn't necessary. The 6th gen cpu runs very cool already. I would say just use the single 980ti and wait for the new pascal series to launch. Also the 1000w psu is overkill you could easily use a 750watt and be fine

I will be OC eventually just not at the present moment when there is really no need too with such a new processor. I'm actually thinking of getting the EVO just because of it's price and upgrading it when I do decide to start OC.
Completely forgot about pascal, I've heard people mentioning but never looked into it so that's why I must've forgotten. Thanks for reminding me. The 1000w is for future proofing and of course SLI 2-way, not to mention I will probably be keeping that for a long time and through other builds as I upgrade. As long as it's a sturdy PSU that will last I am happy with it.

Edit: Is 2133mhz or 2400 MHz the base clock speed for DDR4? I thought 2400 was which is why I am considering going down to it. Only reason I got this 3000 one is because it was $5 more then it's 2400 equivalent on amazon.

Also ddr4 at 3000 mhz is not needed going to a 2400/2133mhz the real world performance gain for 3000 mhz vs 2400/2133 is less than .7 percent. The 1tb HD I would go with for sure go with a WD Blue (much preferred) or Black series.

Again non k series can be OC with bclk tweaking. I do understand the sli in the future but again as new gpu's come out they become less power consuming same for cpu's. The 1000w is a good idea for future gaming.

It's not even worth the cost of $5 to go from 2400 to 3000? Well I heard it causes problems anyway using higher speeds.
I don't suppose you know of any good DDR4 2400 memory modules? I have a very hard time finding good ones on amazon.

This is the only good one I could find.

Also here's some good reading on pascal. But Nvidia confirming pascal to have 16gb of vram is awesome. I have been using a 7970 oc windforce and am glad I didn't upgrade to a 900 series

What about these? Same price, 2400, and the color matches my build (white/black). Those red ones would stick out like a sore thumb unfortunately. That's one of the reasons it's been so hard to find RAM that matches this build haha.
