Aorus 1080ti power limit 150%

Hello.
Apparently this settings puts too much stress on my 550w PSU making psu fan noise unbearable. Without messing with other sliders core frequency is just a bit higher, but gpu runs a great deal hotter.
Can this increased power limit get me noticable overclock that can justify buying a new 750w PSU? Or i can just stick with 100% limit where it runs about 1898-1936 mhz?

well seeign as the user manual for 1080ti's state they recommend a 600w psu....not surprised a 550w is being used so high.

i'd get a new PSU....being used by a 1080ti is likely goign to shorten its life if it is kept running at high %.

Well, i guess i will run it in stock 100% till i pickup a new PSU maybe in a couple of months if i see a good deal.
Never thought it will be this power hungry compared to 1070.
