The Big Bang Theory is awesome. I love that show. lol

[citation][nom]jdamon113[/nom]A flat head will strip it.This is not hard to figure out. A little clay, some resin make a mode. Not to hard. But it sure will make a case to see what is under.[/citation]
no it will not strip it, look how think the damn thing is...it's logic

[citation][nom]otacon72[/nom]For the average person that posts here it wouldn't be that hard to get into the device. For the average Apple user, yup impossible.[/citation]
agreed, lol

It's really funny watching those that can't afford Apple's products post their childish responses ... oh wait, that's why you can't afford them ...

In response to the question about what apple is trying to hide?

Answer: There 3 year old technology they are selling at a premium.

Also, why is this news? Everytime HP, Dell, gateway, lenovo, msi, acer, sony, htc, motorola, emachines decides to put a new screw on a device you'll have it as a headline right?

This is one of the reasons apple fans are hated. They they have a tendency to think that it all comes down to money, that PC users are poor people that doesn't use a mac because they cannot afford it. Fortunately not all of them are like this.

Well, look at the bright side - at least they use screws. If you've ever tried to take apart a modern laptop power supply (like the ones made by liteon) you'll find that there are no screws, the two plastic halves are welded together (using ultrasonic welding). The only way to take apart a laptop power supply is to nick the corner with a hacksaw and then use a screwdriver to crack the two plastic halves apart 🙁

[citation][nom]iamtheking123[/nom]Wait a few months and you'll be able to buy the screwdrive for .99 on ebay from China.[/citation]
You already can. It's $8.99 on eBay, and iFixit.com also has the new screwdriver for sale. 😉

[citation][nom]tburns1[/nom]Apple is seeming more and more like China. No wonder they like doing business there.Anyway, why is this news? The press really likes to talk about anything Apple ...next they'll describe Steve's lunch ...[/citation]

The press likes stories like this because it gets all the Anti-Apple people all riled up with another reason to hate and spread their hate. The by-product of this is more page hits, which sells more advertising.

[citation][nom]bobusboy[/nom]In apple speak they'd say you're helically wrapped around an incline plane.[/citation]That's because Apple people don't know as much as they think. You'd actually be an inclined plane helically wrapped around a cylinder. But since cylinders can be hollow, we should probably be more specific and say they're starting off by giving you the shaft.

[citation][nom]haunted one[/nom]Awesome. Stealing customer rights and blocking access to their own property.[/citation]

Why does it matter, not to be pretentious or anything, but I doubt even 3/4 of apple users have the capacity to take apart any of their apple devices, with/without fancy screws.

[citation][nom]bv90andy[/nom]So what's wrong with that? I've been opening up everything since I was 10. From rc cars to phones and shortly after that my PC, that helped me develop an interest in the field.[/citation]
Oh, don't get me wrong, I have been too. If I could take it apart growing up, I've done so. But now that I'm a parent, the last thing I need is my son destroying his new phone because he just had to see what was going on inside.

Not having easy access is going to keep out those for whom opening the device was only idle curiosity. Like I said before, if you're determined to get in this isn't going to stop you at all.

Apple has the 'rights' to do what they please with their product- No one is forcing you to buy them.

No, they will talk about Tim Cook's lunch, as Stevey boy is at home, laughing and squandering his millions that he has taken from innocent, yet stupid people.

@ V8VENOM

I find it funny seeing people like you post a foolish comment like this. Clearly you have nothing to say to defend Apple's position on this one so you instead resort to childish tactics of your own.

I can afford Apple products. I don't buy them because I am a responsible Capitalist. I don't support their business practices.
