Application runnining error

Hi,
When i want to run some software in WinXP a messegaebox appeares and says
thies error:
title:16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem
C:\....\ApplicationData\....\...
C:\windows\system32\autoexe.NT.The system file is not suitable for running
MS-DAS anf microsoft windows application.Choose close to terninate the application.
please,help me.

Replace the standard version of autoexec.nt/config.nt by copying a backup
copy
located in %windir%\repair\ to %windir%\system32\
