Question Are riser cables best avoided?

I am going to be building an ITX build, and for the first time looking at cases that require a GPU riser. I have always been hesitant to use them because they are another point of failure in your build, and I have seen a TON of people having issues with them over the years.

Have we gotten to a point where 4.0 riser cables are mostly headache free? And are there certain brands I could stick with to limit headaches?

I am looking at building an XTIA Xproto and using a Linkup 4.0 Riser cable.

I have a custom Need For Speed vertical bracket and a PCIe 4.0 cable for about a year, you can see it on my profile picture.
Used it on RX 580, Vega 56, Vega 64, and my 1080ti, no issues whatsoever.
Just make sure not to scratch it or anything and you should be good to go.
This is just my personal experience.

Thanks. Yeah, it seems a lot of people have no issues. But I guess it depends on the quality of the riser and brand. Some are a lot more reliable than others. Do you know the maker of your 4.0 riser? Thanks again
