Are these speed OK ?

I had these results in HD Tune

Transfer Rate Minimum : 1.9 MB/s
Transfer Rate Maximum : 72.3 MB/s
Transfer Rate Average : 45.1 MB/s
Access Time : 18.1 ms
Burst Rate : 110.6 MB/s
CPU Usage : 27.4%


Now are these results ok ?
Do these results fluctuate ?
I mean if these speeds are dependent on the drive or they fluctuate if some other work is being done , or I'm copying data or drivers are not upto date ?

I'm asking all this because I think that my int hd is bottle-necking my ext hd's usb 3.0 speed.
I'm getting 40mBps on an average.
Please help me out .

Try using CrystalMark.

40mbps is what you would expect out of USB 2.0. Quick idiot check on things like USB 3.0 cable, proper port on mobo, etc.

For your hard drive, those speeds are acceptable.expected for an older Seagate 7200.10 drive. Your hard drive is bottlenecking your USB 3.0 speeds,

What mobo is this on?

Motherboard is Biostar H61MU3
It has usb 3.0
Also the ports and cable are usb 3 so it is not that problem

But I see nothing wrong with my hard disk we see it spec wise -

I mean my hd is like an average hd but the speeds are quite low as compared to other people

How old is the drive? Drives from around 2005-2006 were around 40 - 60Mb/s. Newer ones perform better.

It was the internal hard disk. Due to its low 2mb cache the speeds were low.
I have changed it and now the speed is 100+ MBps
