arrange icons

Asked for icons to be arranged alphabetically. It seems that they are
grouped somehow, alphabetically in each group. I want all the icons to
be arranged alphabetically. For example, I want Excel before
MyDocuments. I want Excel to be before Owner's Manual.

Dell computer.

Go to View - arrange icons - remove the check next to arrange by group.
