what is wrong, what should i do, do i need to reformat, or .. ..tell me something i can do

go to the manufactuer's website and reinstall the chipset drivers. If that does not work then try for an RMA. If that does not work then try reinstalling the OS with a clean install. If that does not work then it is time for a new laptop.
