Hi. I accidently typed the sleep command, something I never use but had not disabled.

So the power led is flashing...

Nothing would get it to exit sleep, so I removed the CMOS battery (tested 3.2 volts). An hour later it is still flashing.

I then disconnect power from the power supply and even disconnected the power supply from the MB. A few hours later still flashing.

Two days later with no power connected, it's STILL flashing. I did the CMOS reset jumper without luck. I disconnected the front panel wires and flashing stops. Reconnected and flashing still.

Is this MB haunted? Anything else to try?

If you want to discharge the board and or clear the CMOS, you disconnect the system from the wall and display, then press and hold down the power button for 30secs to drain any residual power. The only exception when trying to clear the CMOS is that you remove the CMOS battery after disconnecting from the wall and display, then press and hold the power button as stated above then replace the battery after 30mins.

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model.

No luck with disconnecting wall plug and display. It came back to life when I started unplugging all USB devices. One of them was providing power.

Edit: It doesn't seem to be the keyboard. Nothing is coming from the Zotac 2080Ti HDMI out. I tried another monitor and no life, though the MB lights up.

Looks like the displayport is the default and so the HDMI is offline. 2080 Ti port priority Now to find a displayport cable.
