ASRock Fatal1ty X99X Killer Motherboard.
i7-5960X Processor.
Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR4-2400 64GB memory Kit (CMD64GX4M8A2400C14)
Seasonic 1250 Watt PS

BIOS is updated to latest, 2.10.

i tested each memory stick seperately, and they all work. RAM slots C1 and C2 will not work. I have 6 memory sticks populating A1, B1, D1, A2, B2, D2. and it works and boots beautifully. i have reinstalled CPU multiple times, making sure there are no bent pins. Same result.

I am also bench testing this, out of the case to minimize possible problems. only psu, video card, and one hard drive attached.

With Ram inserted in C1, it thrown the code bf then shuts down.

With ram inserted in C2, it boots without error, but the ram in that slot is not seen by the motherboard or OS.

With ram in both C1 and C2, it gives error bf then shuts down.

Any ideas, im needing to know if i need to RMA the board, the CPU, or both.

Thanks for any help!

I can't actually. I decided to go ahead and RMA the board and its all packaged up.

I think I may RMA the CPU also, just to be safe. If I can that is, for some reason my CPU can be located in the Intel website. So I have an open support ticket with them.

I'm actually thinking about RMAing the ram too.... But I may wait with that, since all sticks work when installed separately.
