Question Asrock G41M-S3 wont boot with Core 2 Dou e8400, but will boot with Pentium Dual Core CPU

Hello Guys,

I have this problem that my mobo won't boot if i use this Core 2 Dou e8400 CPU with 1333 mhz 3.1ghz eventhough i search it supports Pentium Dual Core/ Core 2 Dou/ Core 2 Quad? But it will boot with my old Pentium Dual Core 800mhz 2.2ghz without any interruption. The Core 2 Dou CPU Works as we test it in the Shop where i bought it.

Specifications:

Asrock G41M-S3
4gb Hynix 1333mhz DDR3
2gb Kingstone 1333mhz DDR3
Radeon 2gb DDR3 GPU

Which BIOS version are you on for your motherboard? You should be on version 1.50. Might also want to inspect the motherboard's CPU socket for any bent or broken pins. Might it be able to pass on a picture of the information on the CPU IHS?

Hello Lutfij, i dont think it has bent pins since it will run if i use my old CPU which is the Pentium Dual Core E2200 2.2ghz with 800mhz, 1mb. Up to this moment no problem so far, runs smoothly with no issues beeps only 1 indicating a normal beep and normal boot. But when i use that Intel Core 2 Duo e8400 3.1ghz with 1333 mhz, 6mb it wont boot, and no beep at all. even if i remove RAM, GPU, still no beep. I was curious since the manual of motherboard says it can run this dual core, core 2 duo and core 2 quad. And to add, i try to go to the shop and report that the CPU is defective, we did try check it, and it boot up normally.

Ill try to update soon if i buy Core 2 Quad with same 1333 ghz fsb if will boot or not.
