i managed to blow my mother board... 😛 (The fatal1ty board)
So i bought a ASRock OC formula... this mb with version 2.0 bios has defaults to 4.5 gig but i know it can do more it also has the nick shih oc profiles but it blue screens when i try them (all over 5.25GHz)
I saw the story on this processor on the msi board and max stable at 4.8 to 4.9...
That's what i'm aiming to get...
at 4.5G it sits at about 70C at max load with aida 64... so it can do more...
i just dont know what settings to use and there were so many voltages i wasnt sure which one to crank to get it too 4.8-9G
Does anyone have a similar setup... ASRock oc formula and a 5960x? that can guide me through what i should do?
