Hi, I've recently bought this mobo and the BIOS is reporting even as much as 30° Celsius more than CAM soft, AIDA, ICUE or any other software.

I know that my H7 Quad Lumi ain't a top of line Cooler for my i7 8700K and that I have to buy a new thermal paste since I've ran out of Gelid and I've used just an almost generic one, but i don't get this discrepances, anyone with this mobo can shed a light or a guess of what's going on? thanks in advance!

RIG: I78700K - Cryorig H7 QUAD LUMI - Asrock Z370M-ITX/ac - Fractal NANO S.

I hope is the first case, because if it's the second...what sensor should I pay attention? such a huge difference it's quite scary

Hi laureanoalfaro,

The bios is not a light Application. In fact, it's pretty high loaded, that's why BIOS temp are usually higher than in windows.

But 30°C of difference seems a lot.

If in the OS temps are good, no need to worry.

Relying on third-party software may be your problem. (CAM soft, AIDA, ICUE or any other software)

Try Intel Extreme Tuning Utility. It can be used strictly as a monitor in real time.

I'm not sure about the sensor. Your CPU temps aren't going over 80C are they?

If they aren't....in the BIOS or in Windows.....I wouldn't be that concerned as those would still be good pretty good temps.
