While H81 and B85 are fine for most, H97 is probably the minimum I would really want, for Raid support.

True, there is RAID support. Been so long since I bothered with RAID that I forget about it at times.

I run 4x2tb, Raid 5, in my file server. Plan to merge that into my main system, eventually, to cut down on the amount of systems I have. Not going to be able to take all my rigs with me, when I move in with my gf.

I use RAID1 for my data drives, which is not available on B85 or H81, but is on H97.

Perhaps you missed the part where I said I had other boards still on the bench going through testing. The G43 is one of them.
