Asus A7V options?

Looks like the A7V is available with and without dip switches. What are the advantages of each? Also, is there any need for me to get a mobo with onboard sound if I plan on buying a separate sound card?

Thanks in advance.

No, if your going to get a separate sound card stay away from the onboard crap.

The dipswitches allow you to change the multiplier, FSB, and voltage settings (for overclocking).

I agree with the other guy, except I would add - stay away from the a7v. I've had a constant nightmare with this board and it is virtually useless. I also have the KT7 Raid which works perfectly. Judging from other comments on this forum, I see I am not the only one with a7v problems. Just beware if you do decide to go down that path.
