I have an ASUS M4A88T-M mother board, AMD Athlon II AM3 processor and an ULTRA 550 watt ATX power supply. When I try to boot the fan tries to kick in but then nothing happens. The stand by power LED is on. I dont have the memory plugged in, I do have the power connected to all the drives and to the motherboard (24 pin connector and the 4 pin ATX 12V connector).

Any help is much appreciated.

No I dont have one. I'm not a hardware guru. I havent built a pc in five years. Is it possible that I dont have the power switch from the front of the box plugged in correctly to the motherboard? I couldnt tell which of the cables was a negative. Is it always white?

I've got exactly the same problem with the same motherboard! yes the asus m4a88td-v evo /usb3, the problems is you need a new motherboard, I change the motherboard and things works perfectly, I don;t know this things happened suddenly without any reason.

I'm having the same problem with my Asus M4A88T-M/USB3
I was using it one night, shut it down properly. Tried to turn PC on the next day and nothing.
I bought a replacement PSU but still no start up. No fans spin, nothing.

RMA'ing it now. Is there anything else I can do to ensure it's the board?
