hi folks!

a tiny question, my system is 2 years old, and i think the hardware is a half year or a year older.
june 2007 i upgraded my system with an 8600GT which replaced an 6600GT.
now, that 8600 wasn't the card it would be like i suspected, like everybody suspected.

now I've got an p5ld2 mobo, and the site sais it is core 2 duo ready, like it is pentium D ready. i'm googling like hell to know which one! it's a fsb limited to 1066 mhz...

i've got an pentium 4 630 at stock speed, and in september i flashed my bios, but couldn't flash the latest version and since then my start up is slower. i underscore cursour just keep blinking for 10 seconds and then drops one space and windows starts.

so is there enyone who has experience with this mobo, and tried ou which core 2 duo it can handle?

please help me, because i don't wan't to buy a totally new rigg.

I want this to know, because i don't know if i can handle an 3850 card!

let something hear from you guys

thanks alot!

specs are below i hope

Open up your case and check the printed writing on your mainboard. There should be a revision on the board. The site will tell you which revision can or can't if you check the "supported processors".

max fsb is 1066mhz, could it handle 800mhz c2d?
and is there someone with the knowledge of usins an E6xxx on such a board?

help us

i doubt it, but sit tight till tomorrow and bump your question if no one else answere's by then. most people here that know what they are talking about have jobs and live's and may only post once a day.
there are some retired guys though that sit here through the day. they tend to know alot as some of them helped build the industry long ago.

Core 2 Duo E4600 (2.4GHz,800FSB,L2:2MB,65W,rev.M0) 2.01G 1903

i could buy it for 133 euo's, but the problem is, i tried to flash my bios, but that latest update wouldn't work. ( i tested it with 4300) and didn't work. it gave errorbeeps at startup

i think i'll stick it with my pentium 4, and wait till it dies. the E8400seems nice, and on a asus p5k it will run smoothly

thanks, you've helpt me alot!
